Pg. 37 - MINOR LEAGUES VIII(b) Note --
If, during the season, a Major team loses a player, the manager will choose a replacement player from the list of eligible Minor A players. If that eligible player refuses to go up to the Major team, he/she will be transferred to the team that the replacement player is actually taken from and will no longer be eligible to be on a Major team for the remainder of the current season. If the replacement comes from the refusing player's team, the refusing player will be transferred to the next team needing a player, or if that is the player's own team, the next team in line.
If, during the season, a Minor B player is pulled up to a Minor A team as a replacement player and refuses to go to that Minor A team, he/she will remain on his/her current Minor B team and is no longer eligible to be on a Minor A team for the remainder of the current season.
Minor B League -- Machine Pitch.

Pg. 50 DEFINITION OF TERMS -- 2.00 Batting order
TeeBall -- Every player on a team roster will participate in each game for a minimum of 2 complete innings and will bat once each inning as the team bats through its complete roster each inning. Continuous batting order to be followed.
Offensive side is retired when all players on the roster have batted one time. For the first half of the season, players stay on base if they are put out. During the second half of the season, players go to the dugout if they are put out.
Minor B -- Every player on a team roster will participate in each game for a minimum of six (6) defensive outs and will bat at least one (1) time. Continuous batting order to be followed.
The side is retired when:
(a) three outs are made
(b) at bat team is ahead 5 runs
(c) at bat team earns an additional 5 runs if already ahead
Minor A -- Every player on a team roster will participate in each game for a minimum of six (6) defensive outs and bat at least on (1) time.
Continuous batting order is adopted for this division Rule 4.04
The side is retired when:

Pg. 57 -- 3.13 -- Ground rules --Both teams are responsible for before game field preparation and after game field cleanup.
Each team is responsible for clean up of their dugout and bleacher area after their game
Rain policy -- Follow Rule 3.10(a) & (b) - The managers of both teams shall agree on the fitness of the playing field before the game starts. In the event that the two managers cannot agree, the president or duty officer or game umpire shall make the determination.
Unless notified otherwise, players are to report to the playing field prepared to play.
TeeBall -- Ground Rule Double -- Any batted fair ball that gets by an out fielder on a bounce and proceeds past the cones or arc burned in the grass will be ruled a "Ground Rule Double" and runners may advance only two bases.
Minor B -- Ground Rule Double -- Any batted fair ball that gets by an out fielder on a bounce and proceeds past the cones or arc burned in the grass will be ruled a "Ground Rule Double" and runners may advance only two bases.
Home Run -- any ball that sails over the same outfield arc on a fly will be ruled a Home Run.
Pitching Machine Rules -- Every batter will receive a maximum of 5 pitches, unless pitches are deemed unhittable or unless last pitch is fouled away, in which case the batter gets another pitch. If the batter does not get on base with 5 pitches, he/she is out.
A batter may strike out by swinging at and missing 3 pitches. Only balls actually swung at will be considered strikes.
No walks are allowed.
Pitching machine speed approximately 45 mph.
The person feeding the pitching machine will in no way coach players. This person may adjust the machine as necessary.
If the machine is not working properly the manager or coach will pitch to his/her own team.
If a batted ball hits the pitching machine prior to being touched by a defensive player, the ball is dead and the pitch count stays the same. The batter runner may advance to first base or rebat at his/her option.
If a thrown ball hits the pitching machine, the ball is dead. One base shall be given to the runner(s).
Pitchers will not be allowed to stand on the pitcher's mound while the ball is being pitched. A line will be chalked prior to the game for the pitcher's position. (However, the pitcher may stand on either side of or in back of the pitching machine, but not in front of it).

Pitching Rules - Sunrise Little League shall follow the mandatory rest requirements per Option 2.
Option 2:
(d) Pitchers league age 16 and under must adhere to the following rest requirements:
• If a player pitches 61 or more pitches in a day, four (4) calendar days of rest must be observed.
• If a player pitches 41 - 60 pitches in a day, three (3) calendar days of rest must be observed.
• If a player pitches 21 - 40 pitches in a day, two (2) calendar days of rest must be observed.
• If a player pitches 1-20 pitches in a day, no (0) calendar day of rest is required.
Pitchers league age 17-18 must adhere to the following rest requirements:
• If a player pitches 76 or more pitches in a day, four (4) calendar days of rest must be observed.
• If a player pitches 51 - 75 pitches in a day, three (3) calendar days of rest must be observed.
• If a player pitches 26 - 50 pitches in a day, two (2) calendar days of rest must be observed.
• If a player pitches 1-25 pitches in a day, no (0) calendar day of rest is required.
(e) DELETED for 2009
(f) Each league must designate the scorekeeper or another game official as the official pitch count recorder.
(g) The pitch count recorder must provide the current pitch count for any pitcher when requested by either manager or any umpire. However, the manager is responsible for knowing when his/her pitcher must be removed.
(h) The official pitch count recorder should inform the umpire-in-chief when a pitcher has delivered his/her maximum limit of pitches for the game, as noted in Regulation VI (c). The umpire-in-chief will inform the pitcher's manager that the pitcher must be removed in accordance with Regulation VI (c). However, the failure by the pitch count recorder to notify the umpire-in-chief, and/or the failure of the umpire-in-chief to notify the manager, does not relieve the manager of his/her responsibility to remove a pitcher when that pitcher is no longer eligible.
(i) Violation of any section of this regulation can result in protest of the game in which it occurs. Protest shall be made in accordance with Playing Rule 4.19.
(j) A player who has attained the league age of twelve (12) is not eligible to pitch in the Minor League. (See Regulation V - Selection of Players)
(k) A player may not pitch in more than one game in a day. (Exception: In the Big League Division, a player may be used as a pitcher in up to two games in a day.)
NOTES:
1. The withdrawal of an ineligible pitcher after that pitcher is announced, or after a warm-up pitch is delivered, but before that player has pitched a ball to a batter, shall not be considered a violation. Little League officials are urged to take precautions to prevent protests. When a protest situation is imminent, the potential offender should be notified immediately.
2. Pitches delivered in games declared "Regulation Tie Games" or "Suspended Games" shall be charged against pitcher's eligibility.
3. In suspended games resumed on another day, the pitchers of record at the time the game was halted may continue to pitch to the extent of their eligibility for that day, provided said pitcher has observed the required days of rest.
2009
9 & 10 YEAR OLD -- ALL STAR SELECTION METHOD
1) Players may be chosen from the Major and/or the Minor A divisions.
2) The Minor A managers will meet to select the 9 & 10 year old AllStar team.
3) At the Managers' meeting, each manager will present names and information about those players from his/her team that he/she feels are well qualified to be on the AllStar team.
4) At the end of the managers' presentation, the managers will vote by a ballot for not more that 18 players that are not from their own team.
5) The top 18 vote getters (or more in the event of a tie for the 18th position) from this first manager vote will be presented to the managers for discussion.
6) At the end of the discussion, a second vote will be taken by the managers. They are to vote for 13 players from the list of the 18 (or more) players that received the most votes in the previous voting. The managers may vote for members of their own team at this time. The 13 players receiving the most votes will be members of the AllStar team. In the event of a tie for the 13th position, the managers will vote only on the players tied for that position to break the tie.
7) The 14th position on the AllStar team will be filled by the manager of the team. He/she may choose any eligible player not already on the team.
8) Manager and Coach
Applications will be taken from eligible regular season Minor A managers and coaches to fill the Manager position.
The Minor A Managers and two Official Coaches from each team will vote to select the Manager for the 9 & 10 year old AllStar team.
The elected Manager will select his/her two Coaches from eligible persons.
These three individuals will then be presented to the Board for approval. In the event one or more of them are not approved, the next highest vote getter will be considered for approval.

The top 6 vote getters from the players' vote will be on the AllStar team, unless it is decided at the Managers' AllStar meeting that there is a justifiable reason that one or more of these players should not be placed on the team. In this case, the next highest vote getter will be placed on the team. In the event of a tie for the 6th position, the managers will break the tie before they vote on players.
2) At the manager's AllStar meeting, the 6 player-selected AllStars will b reviewed, as mentioned in #1. Once these 6 players are approved and any ties are broken, the manager of each team will present the names and information about those players on his/her team that he/she feels are well qualified to be on the AllStar team.
3) At the end of the managers' presentation, the managers will vote by aballot that excludes the 6 players already elected to the AllStar team by the players. The managers will vote for 12 players that are not from their own team.
4) The top 12 vote getters (or more in the event of a tie for the 12th position) from this first manager vote will be presented to the managers for discussion.
5) At the end of the discussion, a second vote will be taken by the managers. They are to vote for 7
players from the list of the 12 (or more) players that received the most votes in the previous voting.
The managers may vote for members of their own team at this time. The 7 players receiving the most
votes will be members of the AllStar team. In the event of a tie for the 7th position, the managers will
vote only on the players tied for that position to break the tie.
6) The 14th position on the AllStar team will be filled by the manager of the team. He/she may choose any eligible player not already on the team.
